Alexander Stadium is located in Perry Barr, north-west Birmingham.

In May 2020, the stadium underwent a £72million redevelopment and was completed in April 2022 ahead of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.

The venue hosted the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, as well as the athletics and para athletics competitions at Birmingham 2022.

The redevelopment has made the Alexander Stadium the largest facility of its kind in the UK and reaffirmed Birmingham as the national home of athletics.

The £72million upgrade has enhanced facilities for the local community, existing and prospective tenants to use for generations to come.

Alexander Stadium has a permanent capacity of 18,000.
